This policy explains what personal information IELTS by Ed collects, why it is collected, how it is used, and what your rights are. It is written in plain language on purpose.

  • Your name and email address — when you subscribe to the newsletter or request the free self-assessment PDF.

  • Your Telegram username or phone number — if you contact us directly via Telegram.
  • Payment information — handled entirely by third-party processors (e.g. PayPal, bank transfer). We do not store card numbers or payment details ourselves.
We also collect basic, anonymous technical data through standard website analytics (page views, device type, country) to understand how the site is used. This data cannot be used to identify you personally.
3. Why we collect it and what we use it for
  • Newsletter subscription: to send you free IELTS strategy content by email. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email.
  • Self-assessment PDF request: to deliver the PDF to your email address.
  • Application form: to assess your current IELTS level, respond to your enquiry, and discuss whether the programme is a good fit for you.
  • Direct messages (Telegram): to communicate about lessons, scheduling, feedback, and payments.
We do not use your information for any other purpose. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
4. Legal basis for processing (GDPR)

  • Application enquiries: up to 12 months if you do not enrol, or for the duration of our coaching relationship if you do.
  • Student records (lesson notes, essay corrections): up to 2 years after your last lesson, then deleted.
